Many people do not appreciate it when i explain the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makes me sad cuz i still dont know it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well let me tell you why then: Because 2 gametes fuse during fertilization, giving a total of 46 chromosomes (23 pairs). If they had 46 chromosomes each, when they fused they would make a 92 chromosome zygote and every next generation will have more and more DNA.
