what is complete dominance?

OpenStudy (blues):

The relationship between recessive and dominant alleles (having to do with which allele is expressed and affects the phenotype) is actually quite subtle. One of the simplest possibilities is when the dominant allele completely and entirely masks the recessive allele - the organism has a dominant and a recessive allele (i.e., is heterozygous), but has the dominant phenotype and no trace of the recessive phenotype.
