Which of the following is an outcome for flipping a coin and then rolling a 6-sided number cube? A.H, 9 B.3, T C.H, T D.T, 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do the h and t stand for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

H=Heads T=Tails

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well you know that if it is 6 numbers....it has number 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 so 9 cannot be included...A is out... We are doing BOTH actions...so we won't get a H and T since we are only flipping it once...So C is out... We are flipping the coin first....so our FIRST outcome would be an H or a T ....which option (Since we know A and C are out...) does that look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Perfect! Our first outcome would be Either H or T And THEN we roll the die....so our SECOND outcome would be either 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 So yes D is correct T , 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's a really good way to put it

Thanks :)
