True or False - Members of the fungi kingdom are prokaryotic autotrophs. Explain why?

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

False! Fungi are multicellular organisms who are part of the domain Eukarya. If an organism is part of the doman Eukarya, it has to be Eukaryotic. Fungi are also organisms that feed on decaying or dead matter. They decompose their food and absorb it, they most definitely do not make it. Thus, Fungi are Heterotrophs and Eukaryotic.
