How do the frequencies of infrared and ultraviolet light compare?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Infrared and Ultraviolet light fall just outside human vision. The frequency of infrared light is less than the frequency of visible red light. There are different definitions and classifications of infrared, but the frequency ranges from 3 x 10 11 Hz (300 Gigahertz or 1000 micrometer wavelength) to about 4.3 x 10 14 Hz (0.7 micrometer wavelength). Ultraviolet's frequency is greater than the frequency of Violet light. This can range from 7.5 x 10 14 Hz (400 nanometer wavelength) to 3.0 x 10 16 Hz (10 nanometer wavelength).
