A train travels between two towns at 264 km apart at an average speed of 72 kph. In summer, the journey takes 22 minutes less than in winter. Find the average speed in summer

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

first find the time it takes to complete the journey in winter using time = distance / average speed so you can then find the times it takes in summer then use speed = distance / time in summer and you have it

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

when you subtract the 22 minutes don't forget to convert it hours first you neeed to keep all values in hours, kms and kms/hour

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

hope this helps
