suppose that a boat, anchored in the ocean, oscillates up and down in a simple harmonic motion as waves go past. The boat moves 10 feet from its low point to its high point. Using a stopwatch, you determine that the boat returns to its high point once every 20 seconds. Write an equation that relates the hight of the boat to time, with the boat at its highpoint at t=0 and the height at h=0 corresponding to the boats low point.

Take a piece of graphing paper and plot out the rise and fall of the boat as well as the time frame. Go 120 or more seconds. From there, you should have an easier time writing an equation. Visuals ALWAYS help.

Vessel is moving as per a sinusoid law, H is toatl amplitude, 20 scd is the period and t is the time since To (initial time) lets say Lowest point. dH height at time t dh\[dh =10\times \sin (90timest \div20)\] at 4scd height will be for example: 10xsin18=3 feets. or approx 1 meter.
