***ALL ANSWERS GET MEDALS*** A bus travels 280 km south along a straight path with an average velocity of 88 km/h to the south. The bus stops for 24 min, then it travels 210 km south with an average velocity of 75 km/h to the south. a) How long does the total trip last? b) What is the average velocity for the total trip?

My answers: a) 23,011.6 s b) 22.6 m/s

Since this trip occurs in 3 parts, you need to find the amount of time taken for each leg of the journey. Your answers are almost right, but I'd use the units the problem is in (hours for time, km/h for speed). 23,011.6 s means nothing.
