Ok, so i believe that the teacher is trying to teach them more about the open world, how it will be in the future. Since the students are so young and innocent, they don't pay to much attention, which gets the teacher disappointing/frustrated.

For the first poem the speakers attitude is careless, and for the second poem the speaker is rather frustrated or disappointed.
