polynomial function of smallest degree with roots : -1,-2 and 3

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

A polynomial \(P(x)\) with roots \(r_1,r_2,r_3\) may be written as \[P(x)=a(x-r_1)(x-r_2)(x-r_3)\]where \(a\) is an arbitrary constant chosen to make the polynomial go through a specified point, or 1 if that isn't required. Plug in your values and multiply it out for your answer.
