Batman is hanging on the end of a batrope at point over a busy Gotham street. If the batrope makes an angle of 45° with the vertical Batman will have swung up to safety on a nearby roof. Helpful Robin fires a cannon ball which strikes Batman horizontally and lodges in his belt. Given the following data, calculate the minimum speed, v, of the cannon ball necessary to let Batman reach safety. Length of bat rope = 50 m. Mass of Batman=99 Kg. Mass of cannon ball = 1 Kg .
