All students are required to conduct an interview with a local businessperson, and you were the only person I could think to ask. Can you please make some time for me to stop by your office next week?

Since you are a professional in the community, I have prepared five questions to ask during the interview. Would you be able to give me fifteen minutes of your time?

Whether you can give me five or fifteen minutes of time, I promise to be prepared and to discuss only what deals with the requirements of the class project.

I have a class project due, and I am required to speak with a businessperson in the community. I can meet you anytime, anywhere and I promise I will be as brief as possible.

When you happen to write to an adult or any other people within a higher position, you always want to set a formal tone. Using the formal tone will make it seem like it is not an everyday conversation that you do to a friend.
