Factor -x^2-2x=0? MEDAL REWARDED!!! Please provide the steps too D:

OpenStudy (31356):

@whpalmer4 @jigglypuff314

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

factor out a negative and factor out a x what would you get? :)

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Factor out a negative x.. \[\LARGE -x(x+2)=0\] Now set each equal to zero and solve.. \[\LARGE -x=0\] \[\LARGE x+2=0\]

OpenStudy (31356):

Okay thanks everyone :D

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Sorry Jiggly >.<

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

lolz

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

once you factor it do as lui did make each part equal to 0 then solve :)

OpenStudy (31356):

Okay :D

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

it works like that because if one part of the multiplication is 0 then 0 times anything is 0

OpenStudy (31356):

Okay thanks :D
