vertex of parabola y=3x^2 + 6x -1

OpenStudy (31356):

Put it in your graphing calculator? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know differentiation?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

If you have a parabola in the form \[y = ax^2+bx+c\] you can find the x-coordinate of the vertex via \[x = -\frac{b}{2a}\]To find the y-coordinate, just plug the x-coordinate into the formula and see what comes out.

OpenStudy (31356):

Indeed :D
