for 1 would say that if people usually talk about politics around you for instance a friend if he/she were to talk a bout republicans in a good way you would probable go for republicans and not democrats

Obviously, people tend to vote for candidates who seem to have the same beliefs/values. If you are strongly anti-abortion, you probably aren't going to vote for someone who favors keeping abortion legal. If you think taxes are too high, you probably won't vote for someone who pledges to balance the budget by raising taxes.
