@clamin This problem involves removal of simple multiplication, before solving I wanna ask if you are aware of the rule of multiplying a positive number with a negative one?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

1. When you multiply negative times positive, the answer is always going to be negative. (b/c there is an odd number of negatives in multiplication the result is negative, when there is an even number of negatives in a multiplication the result is positive) tell me what is \(\color{blue}{ \sf 3 ~\times ~ 15 }\) and then tell me if the result will be NEGATIVE or POSITIVE

OpenStudy (clamin):

negative

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

and what is \(\color{blue}{ \sf 3 \times~15 }\) ?

OpenStudy (clamin):
