OpenStudy (mony01):

Find the area of the region that lies inside the first curve and outside the second curve. r = 7 cos θ, r = 3 + cos θ

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

In general, what is the integral you need for that sort of thing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mony01 can u answer tkhunny's question?

OpenStudy (mony01):

i don't understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically, given the two polar equations, how would u setup the integral to find the area of a region in general. So assume that you are given the question as it is but instead of those 2 equations you have these two GENERAL equations instead: r = f(theta) and r = f(alpha). How would you set up the integral in this case to find the area?
