For the given objective function f(x,y) = 3x - 2y, determine which of the following corner points produces a maximum. (6, -8) (2, 6) (4, 5) (0, 0)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Take the coordinates x and y of each of the given points and substitute them into the given objective function. Each time you do this, you'll get a different value of f(x,y). Choose the largest such value. That's the max. value you were looking for. As your answer, choose the point that results in the max. value of f(x,y).

I think from the options given I think the answer is obviously the second. This is due to the fact that it has the highest y coordinate wich is the definition of a maximum.
