If two lines have the same slope and y-intercept, what is true of the lines? A. The lines are perpendicular. B. The lines intersect at the y-intercept. C. The lines are parallel, and do not intersect. D. The lines are the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (jack1):

d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c as in cat car crib carriage

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (jack1):

same y intercept = same line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer isn't j jack because if they are on different X's then it cant be the same line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same slope and same y intercept = same line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if a line is on (3,9) and another on (6,9) they are not the same line

OpenStudy (jack1):

cant have same slope in ur example then nightmare if they share a y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 3x + 1 y = 3x + 1 same slope of 3 same y intercept of 1 SAME LINE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is is d or c?

OpenStudy (jack1):

d

D

D kellie girl brings out a good point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (jack1):

yay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have a new question you guys..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh andf so did jack bring up some good points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah in some sort of way....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you got a question ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just to let you know... same slope, same y intercept = same line same slope, different y intercept = parallel line negative reciprocal slopes (Ex. slopes 1/3 and -3) = perpendicular line
