OpenStudy (lucaz):

how can I express the exact value of sin(5pi/12) as a fraction?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

pi = 180 degrees

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

substitute 180 for pi and simplify.

OpenStudy (lucaz):

o__O thanks!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Anytime !

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

it doesn't come out as a fraction though, well.. I don't think it should.

OpenStudy (lucaz):

yeah, I was gonna say that =/

OpenStudy (lucaz):

the problem says: find sin(5pi/12) exactly, write the answer as a fraction

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Yeah, I know. Well I found the exact value, 75,. but it isn't a fraction though

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

maybe you have to substitute 180 for pi, without simplifying, but i really don't think so -:(

OpenStudy (lucaz):

thank you, anyway

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
