I don't really understand your question completely, but this comes from yahoo answers not me
Lamarck's theory suggests that it is possible to aquire changed traits form your parents. In the giraffe example, he thought tthe offspring would be born with longer necks simply because the parents had to stretch to reach the tops of the trees for food. I think he was infusing a little bit of nurture into this hypothesis because he said that because the parents had to do it, the offspring would be born so that they would be more efficient at it.
