-ax+4b > 9 if you subtract equal number from both sides , the inequality still holds so, -ax+4b-4b > 9-4b or -ax>9-4b if i multiply or divide both sides by a negative number the inequalty changes -ax/-a < (9 -4b)/-a x < (4b-9)/a
