what came first the chicken or the egg

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Chicken!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Chicken came first then laid an egg

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

This question is actually just an argument between two viewpoints - creationism vs evolution

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Creationists believe the chicken came first, while evolutionists believe the egg came first.

This has been discussed many times. http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/52e96e8ae4b042661d4d7f45

thanks for the medal @PixieDust1

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Anytime! Glad to see others who also know that the chicken came first :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup ^.^

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Well at this point, evolution is not a fact; however there is accumulating evidence for it that overwhelms the theory of creationism. As I am studying Biology- it would only make sense for the egg to come first, as it must have evolved from something previously. Just for cells to gain a true nucleus, it took a billion years! It's often hard to know exactly how something formed, however there is often a factor which made it inch away from the previous form. However, evolution has been witnessed under our own eyes at times!

OpenStudy (secret66):

Well, it's not a new thing, but you always have to say something opposite >.>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

@dumbsearch2 I'd love to challenge you to a debate on that :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All of you have it wrong, the egg came first...laid by a different bird :)!

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Definitely @PixieDust1
