Is this a disk or washer method? The curves of y = f (x) and y = g(x) intersect when x = a and x = b, and f (x) > g(x) > 0 for all x on (a, b). The volume obtained when the region bounded by the curves is rotated about the x-axis. I'm trying to find the integral expression for this problem, but I can't tell whether it's a disk or a washer.

That makes it so much clear! So it's a washer!

Perfecto!

Drawing a picture always makes the problem so much easier! Show yourself the answer. :)

I think it's supposed to be... |dw:1395358948128:dw|
