stuck on an optimization problem (highlighted in red) please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\large A = wh\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

simply plugin \(h\) value from previous step ?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

I believe @ganeshie8 is correct, just use the h from the previous question and multiply times w. This will give you \(A(w)\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried this but unfortunately, its giving me an error message. If you wouldn't mind..could you write this one out?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

$$ h=\cfrac{4 (w+80)}{w-16}\\ A(w)=w\cfrac{4 (w+80)}{w-16}=\cfrac{4w (w+80)}{w-16}=\cfrac{4w ^2+320w}{w-16}\\ $$ Does this help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thanks
