OpenStudy (anonymous):

better look at the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 2/x^8 or 1/6x^8

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

So first, what does that negative exponent mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what i did is took the negative 3 times the 4 and then went from there am i missing a step?

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

ok write that out for me. Use the eq button under the box

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(x ^{4})-3\times2x^4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should be a negative 3

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

good, so that's your problem next step and as a side note for that exp just put the -3 like so ^{-3}
