Expand (x + y)^6

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd strongly suggest that you look up "Pascal's Triangle." That is by far the fastest method I know for expanding powers of binomials such as (x+y)^6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=(x+y)(x+y)(x+y)(x+y)(x+y)(x+y) simplify.

That will, of course, "work," but wouldn't it take a very long time to complete?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it will.
