Function #1: 
2x + 4 = -3x + 14
     - 4            -  4
                       10                  
  2x = -3x + 10
+3x   +3x
  5x  = 10
     x = 2

Function #2: 

  2x + 4 = -3x +14
+3x + 2x + 4 = 14
 + 5x + 4 =14
         - 4   - 4
         5x = 10
           x = 2

hmm, the best i can make of it is this:

f(x) = g(x)

let h(x) = f(x) - g(x)

but can you put it into the function form the equation? Cause honestly I have no idea how to do this and its stressing me out so much this is the fourth time ive submitted it always something wrong im horrible at math

if there is an example in your material it would be best to model it.  but as is this is the best i can make of it.  different authors have different ways of expressing this is all.
