in the old south majority of slaves

OpenStudy (linda3):

In the old south majority of slaves lived on plantations with 20 or more slaves. Most Southern's owned plantations with fewer than 20 slaves. - another cool fact, when Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, published and out on the press, Northern's got a view and know a life of a slave man this having a stir to end slavery in America. Lincoln even commented- “So you are the woman who started the war!” But To say all truth Lincoln fought the Civil War not for slavery but to preserve the Union. :) weird huh?
