Help will medal!!!! Im stuck between B and C The graph of f(x) = 2x + 3 shifts 10 units to the right when it is replaced with the graph of f(x) = 2x - k. What is the value of k? 3 7 10 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would have to say b 7 but i am not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

means x value is shifted by 10 ubit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*unit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya that makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on shifting to right means in positive direction of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=2*x-10+3=2x-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k=7

11 months later...but why not

OpenStudy (mrnood):

The slope of the line is 2 in both cases Shifting the Y inte3 to -7 moves the graph 10 unitis in Y but because the slope is 2, this only moves it 5 units in X To if you move the graph 10 units in x then the intercept will move 20 units in Y |dw:1436949257367:dw|
