evolution simply means that a specific species has' improved ' itself into adaptation of their environment, their food, shelter and in keeping themselves alive with the daily perils ,if their ancestors were not 'strong' enough to survive most likely their species are extinct or on the verge of extinction. But the amazing thing abut evolution is that in some cases you believe that species is long gone ,but no they are not they have evolved into a species(speciation)and is procreating this great green earth very well!
