You have a block of dry ice (-40°C), an ice cube (-5°C), water (-10°C), and alcohol (15°C). In which one do molecules move the fastest? (Points : 1) dry ice ice cube water alcohol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1: Alcohol 2: Ice cube is colder and as with any materials in this situation energy from the hotter one will transfer to the material that is colder. 3: Same as the last one, which is hotter? The stone will loose energy to balance the energy between the two materials heating the surrounding air. 4: which of those is energy? its in the first one's name, heat is how much kinetic energy or at the atomic level potential energy, and caloric was believed to be an invisible fluid or substance that had to do with the transfer of heat. Temperature is how much heat there is in a substance so i'm at a loss for this one. 5: 1 calorie
