What is the surface area of the prism? A. 164 yd2 B. 204 yd2 C. 240 yd2 D. 300 yd2 http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1422500_1423000/1422986/1/eb26326413d470f9b270c9cc0b80857a2bbb3149/MS_PA_131002_171345.jpg I tihnk its D
Did you use a^2 + b^2 = c^2??
The surface area formula is SA= PH+2b
D: im lost omg D:
its not lxhxsxwx?
?
??
hold on
\[Length x Width x Height\] Ist that what you were saying?
SA = wh + lw + lh + ls
haha im sorry my typeing suycks
here, let me call in somebody who can help.
@AccessDenied
hopefully that person comes
is it D casue i did that and got 305
I havent done surface area in a long time sorry
if you think it is d, go ahead
D: im scaredn ow
i don wunna fail
Look at what you got. 1 ea. front panel 8 X 13 sq yd 2 ea triangular sides at 1/2 X 5 X 12 1 ea bottom 5 X 8 1 ea back 12 X 8 Do you see that is what you are dealing with.
Figure the area of these 5 figures, add them, and you will have the total surface area.
Front panel: 8 X 13 = 104 Sq Yd side panels 1/2 X 5 X 8 = 20, but there are 2 ea so that is 40 more sq yds. bottom: 5 X 8 =40 sq yd. back: 12 X 8 = 96 Add em up. Be careful.
@radar i got 280 :/
I erred on the dimensions of the side panels 30 each or a total of 60 sq yd. I don't think the 280 sq yd is correct more like 300
