Help me please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this very attitude did I sit when I called to him, rapidly stating what it was I wanted him to do—namely, to examine a small paper with me. Imagine my surprise, nay, my consternation, when without moving from his privacy, Bartleby in a singularly mild, film voice, replied, “I would prefer not to.” I sat awhile in perfect silence, rallying my stunned faculties. Immediately it occurred to me that my ears had deceived me, or Bartleby had entirely misunderstood my meaning. I repeated my request in the clearest tone I could assume. But in quite as clear a one came the previous reply, “I would prefer not to.” “Prefer not to,” echoed I, rising in high excitement, and crossing the room with a stride. “What do you mean? Are you moon-struck? I want you to help me compare this sheet here—take it,” and I thrust it towards him. “I would prefer not to,” said he. The organizational pattern of the last two paragraphs together is order of importance. spatial. cause/effect. chronological.

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

It seems like it is in chronological order. Read the last two paragraphs and tell me if they seem like they flow like a continuing story, if that makes sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what i put but it says it was wrong :/

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

I honestly have no idea then :/ You can try asking @adrynicoleb

OpenStudy (shad0w):

Have you tried cause/effect?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I have tried that what makes you think its cause and effect?

OpenStudy (adrynicoleb):

This is a hard one...I also thought it was in chronological order. - I don't think that it would be cause and effect. I didn't see anything that caused anyone to act in a certain way. - Spatial means "of or relating to space"; so I don't see how it could be that one. - It could be in order of importance... Sorry. I'm sure that I haven't helped very much. ._.

OpenStudy (shad0w):

Yeah Adry is just shooting down everyones ideas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SPATIAL ?

OpenStudy (adrynicoleb):

:/ Sorry I don't mean to.

OpenStudy (shad0w):

Hmm well I would say its either cause/effect or order of importance. As it is deffinitely not spatial or chronological

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm okay well thanks for help

OpenStudy (adrynicoleb):

Glad to help if I did! :)
