1. isn't 4.5 billion years old...that's the age of the Earth, life started about a billion years after or so, so the answer should be 3.7 billion years. 2. Is C I think.

For question #1 there is a lot of speculation, many people have different beliefs and theories but it is best to do the answer that corresponds with your textbook.

You guys are confusing life with the age of the earth, that's all i'm saying...age of the earth is about 4.6 billion years old...where it was mostly molten, obviously life wasn't on it at that time, it took about 500 - 1 billion years for life to start.
