please help! I'LL GIVE A MEDAL TO THE BEST ANSWER! Write the standard equation of the circle with center (-3, 5) and a diameter of 14. Answer (x + 3)2 + (y – 5)2 = 49 (x + 3)2 + (y – 5)2 = 7 (x – 5)2 + (y + 3)2 = 49 (x – 3)2 + (y + 5)2 = 196

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

The standard equation of a circle is \[(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2\] Note that h and k are just the center of the circle \[(h,k) = (-3,5)\] and you can find the radius r using the diameter information. Then, just plug everything in.
