Hello, I wanted to ask "What is the volume and Area of a Rectangular Prism if it is inscribed in a Cylinder with a radius of 12.7"?

Yeah, I can do that if it is a CUBE, Wait let me rewire the question "What is the Area and Volume of the wood that you would cut if the log that you have, has the radius of 12.7?".

Yes. I'm a College student I was just having a problem with the Question I didn't get it as much. If it is a cube I've already solve it but if it is a rectangular prism then nope.

well... you see, if it's a rectangular prism.... we're still missing the height of the cylinder that should give us the length of the inscribed prism so I assume there is a context to that?

so the area and volume of the log is dependent on its radius and length/height I mean a log piece that's has a radius of 12.7" and is 20ft long has more volume and area than a log that's only 5ft long

That was the only given in the book. The radius of the Cylinder.

so if the prism is a CUBE, then we could just use the radius by itself

and the 45-45-90 rule to find its sides
