Why did the Germanic people invade Rome?

OpenStudy (helpblahblahblah):

Two primary reasons: 1. They were being pressed upon in the East by invading Asian nomads, the Huns being the most famous group. So they move to get away. 2. Rome was a very appealing place to live. The standard of living was much higher than the Germanic tribes had. A way of thinking about this is how the United States is attractive to immigrants from other countries today, principally the nations to our south.
