Historical events that occurred to begin each round affect the economics in my county, Lancashire. For example the Handway Act did not affect us much since we didn’t chose child labor. Later on in 1779, the invention of railroads occurred. So, we decided to build a railroad because this would allow to have a higher carrying capacity, which was the highest of all. This allowed for us to have more selling of cotton. This choice to buy more cotton in the earlier rounds and sell them later on was a very clever choice. This is because in rounds five and six, cotton prices went up to 500 pounds and

600 pounds due to the Napoleonic Wars. However, the Luddite revolution did not be very beneficial because during this time, 1824 round 7, the demand for cotton decreased. And lastly, in round 8, 1832, the event was restricting child labor and everything costs 400, did not effect Lancashire much. This is because Lancashire did not have child labor and we had enough coal to sell the rest of the cotton too.
