Hi i have a simple problem(WILL GIVE MEDALS TO BEST RESPONSE) I am dividing 2 by -34 right and when i do it on the cal i get -17 when i do it on papper i get -15. I need to know what i am doing wrong so when future come i will have the solution to my past problem.

I think you mean to say 34 by -2 |dw:1395635783384:dw| Think of it how many times does 2 go into 34 and remember that one negative and one positive will always be a negative

are you deviding -34 by 2 or 2 by -34 they are very different problems what you are asking right now would equal 1/17th or an equivalent decimal. But if it is -34 divided by 2 it would be 17 because 2 goes into 34 17 times. can you explain what you are writing?
