I have a question!(Will give medals to best response) -y+10=25 I have the answer it's 15 But i just wanted to know why is there a negative sign right next to the y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi flop people call me flip

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you solve for y, the answer is not 15. Can u see why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey flip, why do people call you that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well not realy, can you tell me what i did wrong please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My name is philip and if you search my name on the internet you can see the nicks you can have and one of them is flip and i thoght to myself that's pretty badA nickname!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can do this in two ways. if you add y to both sides you will get y+25=10 and when you subtract 25 you will get -15. if you subtract 10 from the beginning you will get -y=15 but y has to be positive so multiply by -1 and you will get y=-15

can you please draw this out for me!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm i dont have a mouse with me but ill try
