Operating Instructions Attaching the handy cord Your Bear timer comes with a handy cord for easy carrying by hand or around the neck. Made of the finest cotton and polyester, it is easy to unfold and attach. Take the cord out of the pouch and unfold it. The cord has two ends that are plastic-coated. Feed one end through both of the bear "ears" on the timer. Tie the two ends in a knot. Pull on each end to make sure the knot is tight. The handy cord is now attached. Installing the battery Your Bear timer requires only one AA battery, and it is easy to install. Turn your Bear timer over so that the underside is facing you. Notice the peel-away covering for the battery compartment. Pull off the peel-away cover, and place a new AA battery into the compartment as shown in the compartment diagram. Replace the peel-away cover, making sure that it is secure. Your Bear timer is ready to be set.
