stupid question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have an integral \[\frac{ x+1 }{ 2x+x^{2} }\] can i let u = 2x +x^2 and du = 2+2x then 1/2du = x+1? then i'd get du/u in my original equation

OpenStudy (anteater):

Yes :)

OpenStudy (anteater):

So you would have 1/2 times the integral of 1/u du then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculus makes me come here to overthink simple things like this haha

OpenStudy (anteater):

It has that way about it, doesn't it?
