If you remove Kerry from the sentence, it reads as "Did Suzanne thank ___ for the decorations?"  "She" isn't grammatically correct, so it's "her".  This eliminates B and D.  You have to ask yourself which object is being affected.  Who is Suzanne thanking?  Her.  This gives us C :)
