What is the equation of a line in general form with a slope of -2 and a y-intercept of 8?

The slope-intercept form of the equation of a line is \(y = mx + b\) where m = slope, and b = the y-intercept Just write the equation above, replace m and b with their values, and then change the form to \(ax + by = c\) to have the equation in standard form.
