A recipe calls for 6 eggs for every 2 cups of sugar. You have 9 eggs that you want to use. How much sugar will you need for this recipe?

I just don't get how to solve the problem

Let's first find the ratio of eggs for every cup of sugar. 6:2, or 3:1. We need 3 eggs for every cup of sugar. If we have 9 eggs, how many cups of sugar do we need? Simply divide 9 by 3, what do you get? :)

Oooooh 3 thanks so much

No problem! Feel free to ask if you need help with any other problems :)
