A person wants to go into business supplying fuel to nuclear power plants. Which resource will he most likely need to acquire in large quantities? a. Bauxite b. Halite c. Limestone d. Uranium

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uranium is used in nuclear power plants because of it's ability to fission and release enough neutrons to start a chain reaction to release the energy. They do use some material to slow down the release of neutrons like some sort of filter so that all of the energy can not be released all at one so there is not a nuclear explosion. It releases a lot of heat which is why they have those large cooling towers to release the heat and steam from the water that is pumped in to cool the reactor core. -Austin
