There is no possible way to go faster than the speed of light as far as I have learned because the particles that hold any substance together interact with each other by sending a photon to the other particle. So is there any possible way for us to go faster? I've heard theories about if we discovered and harnessed the power of negative energy, but is that true?

Currently, we believe the speed of light is the upper limit on velocity. However, recent theory of Big Bang origin of universe proposes an initial "inflation" phase with expansion faster than speed of light. Stay tuned.
