Graph f(x)=log base2(x-3)+1. Find it's domain, it's range and the equation of its asymptote. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO THIS!! HELP! lol

myininaya (myininaya):

do you know what y=log(x) looks like?

myininaya (myininaya):

|dw:1395773462281:dw| This is log of x you can see it's vertical asymptote is x=0 since the curve gets super close to x=0 without touching x=0. now notice the inside of the log(x) thing is 0 when x=0 Set basically to find the asymptote you find for what value of x will the inside of the log be 0. now as for domain. The domain for y=log(x) is x>0 so you just take everything inside the log and find for what values of it is greater than 0. Let's work on these two then we can do the range.
