OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which foreign policy approach describes a country that avoids interaction with other countries? Isolation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which goal of foreign policy relates to protecting the safety of Americans? National security

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the answer for this one: Which of the following is true about new foreign treaties? They prevent the formation of alliances with other countries. They do not have an effect on the domestic policies of a country. People could be worried whether they will affect their jobs and businesses. People do not care about them or whether lawmakers will approve the agreements.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk but my educated guess would be People could be worried whether they will affect their jobs and businesses. i say that because in this centry this is how we have to go about things or how us as civilians wou;d think i hope this helps :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok two more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is true about foreign and domestic affairs? They are completely separate types of policy issues that do not affect one another. Leaders must consider how one type of policy may affect the other since they relate. The president and Senate are the only groups making decisions on these policy issues. Officials are separated by which type of policy they work on and ignore the other type. Question 10 (Multiple Choice Worth 3 points) A major U.S. trade partner has just gone to war with its neighbor. Its leader asks the United States for help. Which of the following statements is true about how the president will react? He will make a decision based only on his own feelings about the war. He will stop all trade right away with that country until the war is over. He will not respond to the request since it is not an issue for his country. He will consider the opinions of the people, representatives, and diplomats.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the answer for #10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jswagger help with the last question please

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

@christianousley The Senate is not an executive department — it is part of the legislature.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually the senate is in both patterns of the develpoment of both branches there is no final say tht thier in the legislative branch...but thanks anyway i know what im talking about

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

@christiansousley I'm afraid you are incorrect. The Senate is part of the Legislative branch. The U.S Department of State is the Executive branch agency which has the lead on foreign policy. That's why John Kerry, the Secretary of State, meets with foreign diplomats, not Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader. From the State Department's own website: The U.S. Department of State is the oldest agency in the President’s cabinet. The Secretary of State leads the Department of State in carrying out the President's foreign policies. The correct answer for the first question is U.S. Department of State, not Senate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not disagreeing with you..but president obama is not declaring senate into legislative or the excutive branch right now because of the violence that is going on between the koreans..he doent want to give the senate power at this time.so basically there is no senate at this time kinda how the government shut down for a coiuple days its the same thing..but thank you:) anyway

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

What are you smoking? The government isn't shut down and the President doesn't decide whether the Senate is part of the Executive branch or the Legislative branch, the Constitution does.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly^:) you answered your own statement its loike the government bieng shut down their redeciding where the senate should go cos of this whole thing with korea..thank you:)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Hope you kept the receipt for your government class; perhaps it isn't too late to get a refund.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your funny lol childish -_-
